SoCal Jurassics

A Brotherhood Unmatched

ABOUT

OUR STORY

The Jurassics are a team of range and resilience.

Our roster includes athletes who grew up playing in high school gyms, athletes who sharpened their skills in college programs, and athletes who’ve played professionals overseas. We’re united not by a single path—but by a shared drive: to compete with purpose and to represent our community with pride.

Our longest-tenured teammate joined in 2017, and since then we’ve grown into something bigger than basketball—we are family. Over the years we’ve become a brotherhood, showing up not only for games, but for life: the big moments, the hard seasons, the comebacks, the fresh starts.

For many gay athletes, the hardest opponent isn't the team across the court, it's the feeling that you don't belong anywhere at all.

We exist to change that.

In 2026, SoCal Jurassics incorporated as a nonprofiit to help us attain our advocacy goals of ensuring youth feel supported when playing the sport they love.

A Jurassic Story

Since our longest-tenured teammate joined in 2017, the roster has grown to include everyone from high school to college athletes. Along the way, we’ve won multiple championships, including A Division gold at the 2023 Gay Games Guadalajara with a 7–0 record, and we continue to train, travel, and represent with pride, discipline, and strong team culture.

Support

The Jurassics are returning to the Gay Games to defend our gold medal, and getting there takes support. Join us as we make another run for the top.

Meet the Team

Our roster is built from talent developed across high school, college, and professional ball. Each player brings a distinct skill set and role, and together we compete with discipline, chemistry, and a team-first mindset.

Defending Gold

Supporting SoCal Jurassics helps us do something very specific; defend our Gold Medal in A Division Basketball at Gay Games Valencia. Competing at this level takes more than talent and training; it takes resources. Tournament registration, travel, lodging, and gym time add up quickly, and without community support those costs fall almost entirely on players. Your donation reduces that burden and helps ensure we can arrive prepared, focused, and ready to compete.

When you give, you’re backing a team that has already shown what’s possible—going 7–0 to win gold at Gay Games Guadalajara 2023—and is committed to representing LGBTQ+ athletes with pride, discipline, and high-level basketball. If you believe this team deserves the chance to defend its title on the biggest stage, please consider donating or sharing our fundraiser. Every contribution directly helps put the Jurassics on the court in Valencia.
